5. Event Registration & Participation
The Foundation hosts fundraising events, networking receptions, golf outings, galas, educational programs, and community activities.
Registration for any event constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
Event Changes
The Foundation reserves the right to:
- Modify event schedules;
- Change speakers or programming;
- Substitute venues;
- Reschedule events;
- Cancel events due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Event Ticket Policy
Unless otherwise specified:
- Event tickets are non-refundable.
- Tickets may be transferable with prior written approval.
- Sponsorship commitments are non-refundable.
- Event registrations are not guaranteed until payment is received.
6. Assumption of Risk
Participation in Foundation events is voluntary.
Attendees acknowledge that participation may involve certain risks, including but not limited to:
- Physical injury;
- Illness or communicable disease exposure;
- Property loss or damage;
- Travel-related risks.
Participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with attendance and participation.
7. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Pennsylvania law, participants release and hold harmless the McKeown Foundation and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, sponsors, affiliates, vendors, and event partners from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, expenses, or causes of action arising out of participation in Foundation activities, except to the extent caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
8. Golf Outings, Athletic Activities & Recreational Events
Participants in golf outings, sporting events, and recreational activities acknowledge that such activities involve inherent risks.
Participants agree to:
- Follow all course, venue, and event rules;
- Operate golf carts responsibly;
- Maintain appropriate insurance where applicable;
- Accept responsibility for their own conduct and safety.
The Foundation assumes no responsibility for injuries, accidents, or property damage occurring during participation.
9. Photography & Media Release
By attending any Foundation event, participants grant the McKeown Foundation permission to photograph, film, record, and use their likeness, image, voice, statements, and appearance for promotional, educational, fundraising, marketing, and public relations purposes.
Such use may occur in:
- Print publications;
- Websites;
- Social media platforms;
- Marketing materials;
- Press releases;
- Future event promotions.
No compensation shall be provided for such use.
Individuals wishing to opt out must notify the Foundation in writing before the event.
10. Website Use
Users agree not to:
- Violate applicable laws;
- Interfere with website operations;
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data;
- Introduce malware or harmful code;
- Use the website for fraudulent purposes.
The Foundation may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

Registration does not imply endorsement.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
20. Changes to Terms
The McKeown Foundation reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Updated versions will be posted on the Foundation’s website with a revised effective date.
Continued use of Foundation services constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.
